Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, managing a high-volume obstetrical service.
  • Support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to monitor fetal and maternal well-being, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures.
  • Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units as needed based on operational requirements.
  • Assist in caring for more complex cases in a Level III Obstetrical unit.
  • Complete three days of orientation at the beginning of the assignment to ensure smooth integration into the unit.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Nursing.
  • Licenses pending are accepted, but active license required before assignment start.
  • Certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BCLS.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend, with flexibility for additional shifts to fill schedule holes.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly due to high patient volume and busy environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working in a Level III Obstetrical unit is preferred.
  • Comfort with EPIC electronic health record system and charting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information

  • Facility: Tertiary care Level III Obstetrical unit at a busy hospital with over 400 births in peak months.
  • No holiday RTO allowed—please include all requested time off during application.
  • Parking is facility paid.
  • Scrubs: Any color except reddish-orange.
  • Location: Everett, WA, at a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 571 beds across both campuses.

Note: This position is contingent upon credentialing and compliance with hospital policies.
