Location: Bayard, IA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, night shifts (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric nursing care for patients in a substance abuse treatment facility.
- Conduct clinical assessments including CIWA and COWS scoring, administer UAs, and monitor patient progress.
- Maintain firm yet empathetic boundaries with voluntary patients.
- Follow all safety and care protocols, including EMR documentation.
- Collaborate with on-call medical staff and support team members during night shifts.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during assigned shifts, adhering to facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Current BLS certification.
- At least 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Ability to perform clinical assessments and administer UAs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior psychiatric nursing experience.
- Experience working with substance abuse or inpatient mental health populations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically HCS.
