Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to oncology patients in a mixed acuity PCU and MS unit, including chemotherapy administration and stem cell transplant procedures.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately using rapid response teams.
- Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and care for feeding tubes and Nasal cannulas.
- Ensure compliance with chemotherapy protocols and certifications, including CHEMO and Oncology Nursing Society requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized patient care and support treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of MS/Tele and oncology experience, including care for stem cell transplant patients.
- Knowledge of patient diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related disorders.
- Experience with autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, including CAR-T therapy.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience with central line blood draws and PICC line management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, with minimal time off requests.
