Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on an Adult Medical-Surgical / Progressive Care Unit with high acuity needs.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including dysrhythmias and ABG analysis, utilizing telemetry and other advanced equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments, including chemotherapy, blood products, and IV infusions, following protocols and safety standards.
• Manage specialized equipment such as telemetry monitors, ventilators, PCA pumps, and infusion devices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring infection prevention and fall protocols are rigorously followed.
• Float to related units of similar acuity as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.

Required Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU, IMC, PCU, or step-down unit with high-acuity patients.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV access, central line management, and medication titration.
• Ability to handle complex procedures such as chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and invasive airway management.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology nursing experience, especially in medical oncology or teletherapy, preferred but not required.
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, wound care, and arterial line management.
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.

• Orientation includes a week of formal training plus on-unit precepted experience.
