Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures within various specialties including Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and Total Joints.
• Support the operating room team by preparing surgical instruments and ensuring sterile environments.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to facilitate efficient case flow across 9 ORs.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, including radiation badge compliance.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and provide flexibility in coverage.
• May serve as a preceptor for incoming staff or team members.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) and BLS certification.
• Radiation badge provided by the parent company.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical settings.
• Experience in specialties such as Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, Total Joints.
• Ability to work day shifts with 3x12s or 4x10s schedule; flexible with late shifts once per 4 weeks.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Well-rounded experience in multiple surgical specialties relevant to the facility’s caseload.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to floating within perioperative units as needed.
• Prior experience with perioperative care teams and precepting is a plus.

• Travel staff should be aware of potential emergency response duties during hurricane season (June–November).
