• Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• On-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a busy medical-surgical unit.
• Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans.
• Support patient flow for high-volume surgical procedures including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and general GI and GU surgeries.
• Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and compliance with unit policies.
• Adhere to established protocols to reduce hospital-acquired infections and promote patient safety.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).

Required Qualifications

• Valid LVN/LPN license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical experience.
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic health record system.
• Ability to handle a high-paced environment with efficiency and professionalism.
• CPR certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a surgical or high-volume hospital setting.
• Knowledge of gastric procedures and discharge processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
