Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with various solid tumor cancers, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to ensure patient safety.
- Administer chemotherapy and oncology medications following best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and fall prevention strategies.
- Document patient care accurately using electronic health records, primarily EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Ability to interpret telemetry monitoring.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification or similar specialty.
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and chemo certifications preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience in medical-surgical oncology units.
- Proficiency with electronic health records, specifically EPIC.
