Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care for Endoscopy and GI procedures.
- Assist with and technically support procedures such as Bronchoscopies, EGD, and Colonoscopies.
- Utilize knowledge of specialized procedures including motility tests, UBE, UUS, andCCP.
- Ensure proper preparation and sterilization of instruments, including scrubbing and technical support for bronchoscopies and other endoscopic procedures.
- Maintain adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards during procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Experience with scrub/tech duties for Bronchoscopies, EGD, and Colonoscopies.
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and procedure support.
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system.
- Ability to support special procedures such as motility studies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supporting multiple procedural areas such as Endoscopy, IR, PACU, Cath Lab, and SDS.
- Prior experience working in a hospital or outpatient setting with GI procedures.
- Knowledge of Indiana state regulations and travel requirements for nurses.
