Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM), every 3rd weekend, holidays as needed, with mandatory floating between all campus locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting for individuals with neurological and orthopedic conditions such as CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, and post-op surgical patients.
• Perform and interpret EKGs, monitor vital signs, and manage medication reconciliation.
• Conduct dressing changes using aseptic/sterile techniques and set up sterile procedure trays.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, throat swabs), label accurately, and perform phlebotomy.
• Manage patient needs via telephone triage and handle pharmacy/refill requests as appropriate.
• Document patient history, allergies, and assessments in compliance with hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care rehab experience.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to interpret laboratory results and conduct medication reconciliation.
• Experience with venipuncture, specimen collection, and sterile procedures.
• Strong knowledge of neurological conditions and inpatient rehabilitation protocols.
• Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to float between campuses.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in managing patients with neurological diagnoses such as stroke, aneurysm, or spinal cord injury.
• Familiarity with inpatient nursing and rehab patient ratios (1:6).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Additional Notes
