Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in a high-volume Emergency Room setting.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, and timely care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient needs, documenting responses and actions taken.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and discharge planning.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following appropriate protocols and policies.
• Supervise clinical staff including LPNs and non-licensed personnel, ensuring adherence to standards of care.
• Complete patient education and competency testing in accordance with unit standards.

Required Qualifications

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• Two (2) years of current experience in a large Emergency Department.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through recognized organizations.
• Must pass onsite BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test during first week of assignment; failure results in contract termination.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system (training available if needed).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
