Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for patients in the intermediate care, progressive care, and step-down units.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient conditions, utilizing telemetry equipment as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  • Support quick patient turnover while maintaining high standards of safety and patient satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Proven competency in telemetry monitoring and care.
  • At least 2 years of recent progressive care or stepdown nursing experience.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Recent experience in IMC, PCU, or step-down units.
  • Strong patient-focused, compassionate attitude and team-oriented approach.
  • Previous experience with Cerner or similar electronic medical records systems.
