Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts (1845 to 0715), scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation. No guarantee of hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Float between various medical, surgical, and specialized units including IMC, PCU, and stepdown departments.
- Perform a variety of procedures with competency, utilizing medical equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
- Deliver safe, effective patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Maintain professionalism and adherence to unit-specific policies, including dress code and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Complete unit orientation and training to ensure smooth integration into different units.
Required Qualifications
- Hawaii Registered Nurse license (must be obtained before start date).
- 2+ years of nursing experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to float to various units as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Additional Certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC (preferred).
- Experience with electronic medical records and hospital equipment such as Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.
