Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-acuity labor and delivery nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, including providing newborn assessments, eye care, thigh and vit K injections, and continuing post-delivery care until transfer to postpartum.
• Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring and support patients with various diagnoses including high-risk obstetrics and community care.
• Float to related units such as postpartum and antepartum, supporting diverse patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams following AWHONN guidelines and comply with EPIC electronic health record documentation requirements.
• Maintain proficiency in procedures such as managing medications like Magnesium Sulfate, Heparin, and Insulin, and performing comprehensive assessments.

Required Qualifications
• 3–5 years of recent, high-risk obstetrics and high-acuity labor and delivery experience.
• Current valid RN license in good standing.
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal care including circulation and newborn assessments.
• Ability to pass clinical review and submit current proof of certifications: BLS, NRP, and relevant high-risk obstetrics skills.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a high-volume, high-acuity setting with supervisory references.
• Must have current Nursys verification.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• 5 years of high-risk obstetric experience.
• Advanced certifications such as AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced.
• Experience supporting substance recovery and community clinics a plus.
