Key Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine appropriate physical therapy treatment plans.
• Assess patients’ strength, motor skills, gait, sensory perception, and functional capacity to develop or modify treatment programs.
• Administer manual exercises, physical agents, and treatments to improve patient function and alleviate pain.
• Educate and motivate patients and their families on treatment procedures, use of supportive devices, and home care safety.
• Record treatment progress, patient responses, and communicate updates to healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in Michigan.
• One to two years of clinical experience.
• Valid driver’s license (if home visits are required).
• Ability to read, interpret clinical instructions, and navigate to patient homes.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with home health or hospice patients preferred.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic device evaluation and adjustment.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
