Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac ICU patients, including critical and post-operative care.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels as needed.
• Rotate shifts between days and nights, including some weekends and holidays.
• Manage patient loads with estimated ratios of 1:1 for post-operative and critical cardiac cases.
• Administer IV therapies, ventilator management, telemetry, and other advanced cardiac interventions.
• Monitor and operate specialized equipment such as Swan-Ganz catheters and balloon pumps.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac ICU setting.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in IV insertion, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Experience with balloon pumps and Pa lines.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience in ICU settings.
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills for floating across units.
