  • Full-time, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), travel assignment, 13-week duration

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care patients, including preemies and infants with complex medical needs
  • Manage patients with ventilators, Central Lines, and advanced respiratory support, including intubated infants
  • Perform unit procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced neonatal ICU environment
  • Document patient care accurately using electronic systems, including Meditech and CPN
  • Float to other units such as PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU as needed, caring for children under 2 years of age

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas or applicable state
  • Certification in BLS and NRP
  • Minimum of 1 year of level III NICU experience
  • experience with preemies (?28 weeks), management of central lines and respiratory therapy, including ventilated and intubated infants
  • Knowledge of neonatal equipment such as Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, Oscillators, IV pumps, and isolettes

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with surgical patients, cardiac neonates, and infants less than 27 weeks
  • Care of trach infants and management of Broviacs or similar central lines
  • Proficiency in advanced neonatal procedures and respiratory management
