Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location
• Alexandria, LA
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, dayshift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care in a telemetry unit, assessing and monitoring patients’ vital signs and cardiac status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, observing for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to other floors as needed, providing quality care within scope of practice, based on staffing requirements.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in Louisiana or valid Compact state license
• BLS certification via AHA
• ACLS certification via AHA
• One year recent experience in a telemetry or med-surg setting preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in cardiac or critical care units
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments
• Strong assessment and patient management skills
