  • Full-time, temporary to permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric cardiac ICU patients, including those with congenital heart disease, post-surgical cardiac patients, and patients requiring specialized support such as VAD, ECMO, and transplants
  • Monitor and respond to patient needs, ensuring safe administration of medications and interventions
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records
  • Assist with complex procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and ventilatory support management
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations, providing consistent, high-quality care

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience
  • Active RN license in South Carolina or a multi-state/compact license
  • Certifications: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Proficiency in pediatric and cardiac patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience
  • Experience with pediatric post-operative cardiac care and ECMO management
  • Prior work in a Level I trauma center or teaching hospital environment

  • All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and are subject to approval based on unit needs
  • Guaranteed hours, with potential for one shift cancellation every two weeks

Note: All shifts are on a rotating schedule, and candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays as part of the schedule.
