• Contract, 13-week assignment, Mids (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM), onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical unit with a focus on patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Assist with a variety of procedures across multiple service lines, including CV, Urology, GYN, Orthopedics, Vascular, Robotics, ENT, and Neurosurgery.
• Collaborate with surgical team members, including scrub techs, anesthesia providers, and other clinicians to ensure seamless operative flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Support unit operations during scheduled shifts, including minimal weekly on-call and weekend rotations.
• Adhere to dress code and unit policies, ensuring a professional and sterile environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience.
• Current certifications as required, with specific focus on perioperative nursing standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with a positive attitude.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic surgical procedures.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to fit into a culture of safety.
