Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title
• Registered Nurse - PACU
Location
• Beachwood, OH
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 7 PM – 7 AM, 3 - 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery in the PACU
• Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient condition during recovery
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed
• Recognize and respond to acute changes in patient status
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and optimal recovery
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 18 months recent PACU experience with permanent PACU prior to travel
• Ohio license or valid license from a compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
• Recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the PACU or related specialty
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a high-acuity surgical or hospital environment
• Knowledge of post-operative care protocols and procedures
