Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Zanesville, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Contract – Nights shift (36 hours/week, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients in a busy 21-bed unit.
• Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and Emergency Department boarders.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years recent Med-Surg and telemetry experience (renal experience preferred).
• Proven ability to independently interpret telemetry strips.
• Epic EMR proficiency (mandatory).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience managing renal-related complications.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-volume, high-acuity environment.
