Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Honokaa, HI
Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts, full-time (8- or 12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment
• Perform procedures such as IV placement, trauma assessments, and stroke care
• Utilize equipment including Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
• Demonstrate proficiency in core measures, national patient safety goals, and customer service standards like AIDET and Press Ganey

Required Qualifications:

• Active Hawaii RN license (must be obtained prior to start for out-of-state candidates)
• Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience
• Proficient in IV skills
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (mandatory); NCI and Procedural Sedation beneficial
• Familiarity with stroke, STEMI, trauma activations, and emergency protocols

Preferred Skills / Experience:

• Experience with Meditech EMR and monitoring systems
• Ability to float to other units/departments within clinical competencies
• Knowledge of core measures and patient safety standards
