- Full-time, temporary (13 weeks), night shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, primarily focusing on cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing complex cardiac gtts and medication administration.
- Assist with procedures such as epidural management, chest tube care, and IV therapies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure safety.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or applicable state.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Prior stepdown or telemetry experience.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced cardiac/vascular environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with post-cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients, including open heart procedures and TAVR.
- Knowledge of CVICU protocols and procedures.
- Experience with bedside equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and epidural pumps.
