Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor.
• Assist with childbirth, including preparing and supporting patients through delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
Required Qualifications
• RN license valid in California.
• Certification in BLS; ACLS and NRP preferred or required upon hire.
• Recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on-call shifts if applicable.
• Strong clinical skills in obstetric and neonatal care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in a high-volume acute care hospital.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic charting system.
• Ability to float between units if needed.
