Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in an acute behavioral health setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain safety protocols, including the application of physical restraints when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Support a therapeutic environment by following facility policies and treatment guidelines.
• Document patient progress and any incidents accurately and promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of direct psychiatric and acute care nursing experience.
• Valid nursing license for the state of Wisconsin.
• Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) – training provided onsite.
• Ability to pass a caregiver background check (wet signature required).
• Experience administering physical restraints in an inpatient setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a multi-unit behavioral health facility.
• Familiarity with pediatric psychiatric care.
• Ability to float between units within the facility as needed.
