Full-time, 13-week contract, dayshift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and treatments accurately using electronic medical records.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital nursing experience.
- Ability to work dayshift in a fast-paced medical surgical setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of nursing experience.
- Experience with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Familiarity with monitoring equipment such as bladder scanners and telemetry devices.
- Ability to adapt and provide feedback in a collaborative environment.
