Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Schedule / Job Type: Onsite, Full-time, No Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Floats between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles, providing flexible staffing support.
• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver direct patient care to an assigned group during each shift.
• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents patient needs, responses, and care provided.
• Ensures safe, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to protocols and documentation standards.
• Provides education to patients and families regarding care, discharge, and recovery throughout the episode of care.
• Oversees the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel, ensuring team coordination.
• Completes competency testing and education specific to patient populations, procedures, and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub during surgical procedures.
• Proven team player with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Valid nursing license for the state of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system (training available onsite).
• Orthopedic, EENT, and/or vascular surgery experience a plus.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
