- Full-time, travel, night shift, 16-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a busy Level III Trauma Center and Stroke Center.
- Float between different units and hospitals as needed, ensuring seamless patient care continuity.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver critical care.
- Follow facility protocols and documentation processes using Meditech EMR system.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort during challenging emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or a Compact license.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH.
- Certified in TNCC and SECURE ON SITEL.
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of ER nursing experience working under a professional license, with at least 1 year of specialized emergency care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, level designated trauma or stroke center.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and float across units effectively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
