Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute care nursing in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit within a hospital setting.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform assessments to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately using the hospital's electronic system.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including dress code and infection control standards.
- Respond to calls and emergencies as required during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a specialty unit such as IMC, PCU, or Stepdown.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system.
- Ability to float and work in different units as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Telemetry/IMC/Stepdown units.
- Strong clinical skills in acute patient monitoring and assessment.
- Professional appearance in scrub attire (Royal Blue).
- Knowledge of hospital policies regarding dress code, tattoos, piercings, and personal grooming.
