Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising therapist.
- Support patients in using therapeutic equipment and techniques under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Proven experience supporting patients in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Knowledge of therapeutic procedures and patient care techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in pediatric or geriatrics settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
