Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: State College, PA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients across all age groups, adhering to current ENA standards.
• Triage incoming emergency patients, determining care priorities based on clinical and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans through continuous assessment and reevaluation.
• Manage emergency situations and complications in accordance with hospital policies and ENA guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health management strategies.
• Document patient histories, interventions, responses, and discharge teaching accurately and thoroughly.

Required Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, renewed every two years, aligned with AHA standards.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Ability to function effectively as a team member and communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Strong emotional resilience and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous ER nursing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with emergency triage protocols and patient flow management.
• Ability to handle a variety of emergency scenarios with professionalism and tact.
