Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting for orthopedic, urology, general surgery, neurology, cardiothoracic, peripheral vascular, and gynecological procedures.
- Assist with circulating and IV start responsibilities, maintaining strict adherence to sterile protocols.
- Support the use of advanced technology including DaVinci XI robotic systems and conduct conscious sedation as needed.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during various procedures.
- Work rotating shifts including days, with night shifts (4 per month) and availability for holiday schedules.
- Follow CERNER charting protocols and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana.
- Minimum of 2+ years of OR nursing experience.
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Experience with CERNER electronic health record system.
- Ability to circulate, start IVs, and assist with conscious sedation.
- Willingness to work night shifts, including some weekends and major holidays.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in teaching hospitals and community hospital environments.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic, robotic-assisted surgeries, and DaVinci XI systems.
- Experience with craniotomy procedures is a plus.
