Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit within a hospital setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vasoactive drips and stroke patients.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care accurately using the hospital’s electronic charting system.
- Float within scope to support all three hospital locations as needed.
- Prioritize time-sensitive modules and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of tele/acute care experience, with 2 years preferred.
- Experience in PCU or Cardiac Telemetry units.
- Proficiency with vasoactive drips and stroke patient care.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification required prior to start date.
- Must possess a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a teaching or Level Trauma hospital.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive priorities.
