Key Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate care for postpartum, antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, and GYN-related cases.
• Assist in caring for laboring mothers, stabilization, and nursery patients, including the SCN.
• Float to other units such as Medical-Surgical and Telemetry as needed, per union contract guidelines.
• Support staff onboarding and scheduling to ensure proper coverage.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC or other systems) and equipment such as vital sign monitors, bladder scanners, and breast pumps.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and clinical standards, including certifications and documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Active Minnesota RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years OB/L&D experience.
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP certifications.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends.
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg and Telemetry units.
• Experience with EPIC or comparable EMR systems.
• Proof of SNSA certification and agency registration with the state of Minnesota.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• PALS certification.
• Experience working in labor, postpartum, nursery, and pediatrics.
• Familiarity with unit-specific equipment and protocols.
