Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for postpartum, antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow cases.
- May serve as a 2nd RN in the Special Care Nursery (SCN).
- Float to other units including Med-Surg and Tele as needed, following union contract guidelines.
- Assist in staff onboarding, schedule coverage, and coverage for FMLA leave.
- Utilize equipment such as EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, and Medfusion Pumps.
- Maintain compliance with safety and clinical protocols, including certifications and licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years OB/L&D experience.
- Active BLS (American Heart Association).
- Active ACLS (American Heart Association).
- Active NRP certification.
- Valid MN State RN license or willing to obtain license within 24 hours of offer.
- Ability to work in Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics units.
- Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems.
- Willing to float to Medical-Surgical and Tele units.
- Agency registration with MN State (proof required).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification.
- Experience with other EMR systems.
- Knowledge of union contract policies regarding floating.
