Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for postpartum, antepartum, pediatric, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow patients, including newborns and nursery care.
• Float to other units such as Med-Surg and Tele as needed, following union guidelines.
• Assist in staffing coverage, including onboarding and fill-in for vacancies or FMLA leave.
• Utilize equipment such as EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, and others to ensure optimal patient monitoring and care.
• Support a patient load averaging 5 couples, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor patients, and 4 SCN; maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Participate in unit-specific training, orientation, and badge-in procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years OB/L&D experience.
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Active ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Active NRP certification.
• Valid Minnesota State RN license.
• Willing to float to other units (Med-Surg, Tele) as necessary.
• Experience with EPIC or comparable EMR systems.
• Proof of MN State RN license and SNSA certification registered with the State of MN.
• Ability to work variable shifts including weekends.
• Willing to apply for temporary or permanent roles within 24 hours of offer acceptance.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification.
• Previous experience working at Sanford Health (if applicable, must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission).
• Experience with Union contract guidelines and staffing protocols.
