- Travel, Night shift, 16-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on a 36-bed renal medical-surgical/telemetry unit.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospital staff to deliver comprehensive renal care.
- Assist patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease and dialysis treatments.
- Adhere to facility protocols and employ electronic medical records for documentation.
- Support patient education and ongoing treatment plans after diagnosis.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license valid for the state of Alabama or a Compact State license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN).
- BLS or Red Cross CPR certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; will consider 18 months with appropriate licensure and significant field experience.
- 1 year of experience specifically in renal or medical-surgical nursing.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in nephrology or dialysis nursing.
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to float between units efficiently.
