Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in long-term care and skilled nursing facilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Document resident histories, medications, and care provided in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize technology and tools to enhance quality of resident care and ensure effective communication.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to unlicensed staff, maintaining accountability for resident outcomes.
• Comply with all applicable nursing practice standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Required Qualifications
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with resident assessment tools, such as MDS, is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on facility location.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA preferred).
• Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and prioritize effectively.
