Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of radiological procedures specific to breast imaging, including diagnostic and screening mammograms, 3-D mammography, stereotactic biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and needle localizations.
- Ensure high-quality mammographic images while providing a caring and comforting experience for patients across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Collaborate with physicians to perform related special procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all quality control activities mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and FDA guidelines.
- Maintain proficiency in operating mammography equipment, including imaging and processing units, and stay current with proper radiographic exposure techniques.
- Complete all required documentation and follow safety standards to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- Active Washington State Mammography Tech license.
- ARRT Certification in Radiography.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of full-time mammography experience; 2+ years strongly preferred.
- Ability to perform diagnostic and screening mammograms, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in high-volume outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with 3-D mammography technology and related special procedures.
- Willingness to float to other campuses if needed.
