Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery
Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Jefferson, NC
Schedule / Job Type
• Nights, 12-hour shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in an LDRP setting
• Assist with both mother and baby care, ensuring safety and comfort
• Monitor fetal heart rates and participate in fetal monitoring activities
• Float to other units such as Med/Surg, CNA, secretary, or support roles as needed
• Manage higher acuity and high-risk cases with autonomy in a smaller, specialized department
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication using Centricity and Meditech Magic
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or similar setting
• Experience with fetal heart monitoring
• Valid nursing license
• Certifications: ACLS, NRP, BCLS
• Ability to handle high-acuity cases independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in small, autonomous LDRP units
• Comfortable with float requirements across various hospital departments
• Strong clinical skills in maternal and newborn care
