Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Support and instruct patients through various stages of labor, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding to any complications.
• Effectively document patient progress and interventions using electronic health records.
• Assist with precepting and mentoring new staff or students as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in California.
• Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Strong caregiving skills with an emphasis on patient support and safety.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Precepting experience or skills.
• Experience supporting PM shift and managing diverse patient needs.
• Ability to float between units, including Mother/Baby units.
• Flexibility to accommodate block scheduling as per management.
