Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby units.
• Float between L&D and Mother Baby as needed, maintaining flexibility in assignments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and timely birthing experiences.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including working with the prison population when required.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records.
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills and respond promptly to patient needs.
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby units.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI (or MAB in lieu of CPI), NIH, AWHONN, NRP.
• Comfort working with the prison population.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a correctional healthcare setting.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different unit environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
