Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Euclid, OH
Schedule / Job Type: Day shift, full-time, hospital-based, travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for orthopedic procedures in the OR setting.
- Assist during total joint surgeries and ensure adherence to surgical protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.
- Document procedures accurately using Epic charting system.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons and anesthetists, to deliver quality patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards, including managing holiday schedules as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent orthopedic OR experience, including total joint procedures.
- Current Ohio license or active Compact State license.
- BLS certification.
- Recent Epic charting experience (within the last 6 months).
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation.
- Minimum of 18 months perm OR experience prior to travel.
- References from a manager, supervisor, or director in the related specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in high-pressure OR environments.
- Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records systems.
- Strong team collaboration skills and adaptability.
