Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate resident care within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
- Ensure compliance with all mandatory regulations and requirements.
- Coordinate staff education, training, and in-service programs; assess educational needs of staff.
- Develop and monitor the facility's annual goals and objectives.
- Lead Quality Improvement initiatives and prepare for annual state surveys.
- Develop and manage the department budget, including staffing, equipment, and supplies; review protocols and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; Master's Degree preferred.
- Current, unrestricted nursing license.
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a long-term care setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to complete Trainer certification for CNA classes within six (6) months of hire.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Wound Care certification.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within LTC/SNF settings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, evolving environment.
