Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week contract, days shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on orthopedics and surgical specialties
- Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and IV therapy as required
- Collaborate with a team of nurses, PCTs, and other staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to unit policies, procedures, and dress code, including navy scrubs and professional conduct
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR)
Required Qualifications
- Valid LVN or LPN license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification considered a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting with surgical patient populations
- Knowledge of clinical pathways and patient throughput processes
