Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to cardiac patients in the CVICU and CCU departments.
• Float between CCU and CVICU units as needed, demonstrating flexibility in patient care responsibilities.
• Manage complex cardiac interventions, including PA lines and transvenous pacing.
• Support patients with mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and ensure patient safety during all procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cardiac care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Massachusetts, required at time of submission.
• Strong Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience, with a focus on PA lines and transvenous pacing.
• Experience with cardiac surgical or medical patients.
• Certifications in CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating or night shifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella) is a plus.
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac emergencies and post-operative care.
• Ability to float across units and adapt to dynamic patient care needs.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted.
• Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday, barring holidays.
• Travel nurses who have worked for the facility within the last six months are not eligible.
• Parking may cost up to $43/day. Please inquire for more details.
• Contract guarantees are for 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call time.
