Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care for patients in the intermediate care/stepdown unit of a level 1 trauma center.
- Manage complex, highly acute patients including those with ventilators, chest tubes, trachs, and suction devices.
- Perform procedures such as chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopies.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members.
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR system.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, supportive, and team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction.
- At least 2 years of RN experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Experience working in a trauma or acuity high environment.
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and adaptability.
