Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Intermediate Medical Care (IMC), or Stepdown units.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety.
- Document patient treatments and progress accurately using Epic electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and float within scope to meet unit needs.
- Cover every other weekend as required and participate in on-call as needed.
- Adapt to the facility’s policies, including block scheduling and emergency response protocols during hurricane season.
Required Qualifications
- Current SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Epic EMR experience.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
- Able to work 3x12 night shifts (7 pm – 7 am).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior patient ratio management experience.
- Flexibility to float between units or sister facilities if required.
- Experience with acute care hospital environments.
