Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide care to laboring, pre-term, and postpartum obstetric patients, as well as newborns.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
- Utilize equipment such as computerized charting systems, medication administration tools, and fetal monitoring devices.
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC and other hospital systems.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
- Proficiency in cervical exams and fetal monitor interpretation.
- Valid Indiana RN license.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with hospital electronic medical records and neonatal resuscitation.
- Ability to work independently and handle high-acuity situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
