Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures
Location: Peoria, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, days
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Interventional Radiology (IR) department during scheduled procedures.
- Assist with pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-operative patient care, including patient monitoring and documentation.
- Interpret EKGs and perform drip titration as required by RN standards.
- Collaborate with charge RNs, IR techs, and physicians to ensure smooth procedural flow.
- Follow unit protocols for patient safety, infection control, and emergency response.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois nursing license or confirmed application submission.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Experience or proficiency in EKG interpretation.
- Drip titration experience.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR and Phillips monitors.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Prior experience in IR, ED, ICU, or procedural nursing.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment with 20-30 cases per day.
- Experience with vascular, GI, stroke, or biopsy procedures.
